The duo\u2019s recordings and performances are higly acclaimed by both audiences and\ncritics.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #f06b20;\">| <\/span>International \u00abGuitar Magic\u00bb festival and competition in Saint-Petersburg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><p>Since 2013 Anatoly Izotov is an organiser and artistic director of \u00abGuitar Magic\u00bb International\nfestival and competition in Saint-Petersburg. This is one of the biggest festivals in Russia. Every\nyear it gathers some of the best guitarists of the world for concerts and masterclasses and best\nyoung guitar players for participating in the competition.\nDuring the festival there are several concerts in the best halls of Saint-Petersburg such as the\nGrand and Small halls of the Philarmonia. <\/p><p>Festival concerts have more than 1500 listeners every\nyear.\nAmong the artists of the festival there are: Assad duo, Kazuhito Yamashita, Irina Kulikova, Jeremy Jouve, Judicael Perroy, Gabriel Bianco, Marcin Dylla, Aniello Desiderio, Zoran Dukic, Andras Csaki,Johan Fostier, Adriano Del Sal, Goran Krivokapic, Antigoni Goni, Lorenzo Micheli,David Pavlovic, Vladimir Gapontsev,Dimitry Illarionov, Alexey Khorev, Vladimir Gorbac, Asya Selutina.<\/p>\nCompetition winners of different years \u2013 Anton Baranov, Pavel Kuhta, Koshkin guitar duo,\nVladimir Gapontsev, Kuzma Filimonov\nThe festival is dedicated to the memory of the great teacher from Saint-Petersburg \u2013 Alexey\nAlexeevich Khorev.<\/p>\n<p>More information about festival - <a href=\"http:\/\/gmfestival.ru\/\">gmfestival.ru<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #f06b20;\">|<\/span> \u00abGuitar Magic\u00bb summer guitar school in Leningrad region (since 2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since 2016 Anatoly Izotov holds \u00abGuitar Magic\u00bb summer guitar school. The main philosophy\nof this school is the opportunity to share the experience of famous musicians from different\ncountries to the school participants. The school is held in a picturesque place near Luga,\nLeningrad region.<\/p>\n<p>In this educational project informal environment mixes suprisingly well with a\nvery intense schedule. Unique lectures which are a mix of creative experience and live\ninteractive communication are prepared exclusively for every edition of the school. Besides the\nlectures the programme of the school includes masterclasses and concerts of teachers and\nstudents.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2016 four editions have been held. The teachers were: Gabriel Bianco, Anatoly Izotov,\nVladimir Gapontsev, Dimitry Illarionov, Alexey Khorev. Since then more than 50 young \nguitarists have had an opportunity to gain useful information and inspiration from true guitar\nprofessionals.<\/p>\n<p>More information - <a href=\"http:\/\/gmfestival.ru\/letnyaya-gitarnaya-shkola\/\">Guitar School<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\" translation-block\">Creative projects in which Anatoly Izotov<br>\ntook part in different years.<\/h3>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><strong>\u00abTriunfal Orquestra\u00bb <\/strong><p>\nIn 2009 a remarkable accordion player from Saint-Petersburg Alexei Statsenko founded\n\u00abTriunfal Orquestra\u00bb which united some of the best musicians of the city. The base of the\nrepertoire was Piazzolla\u2019s music and famous argentinian tangos. The orchestra had great success\non various stages of Russia. The high professional level of each of the musicians together with\nunique arrangements create an atmosphere of passion and refinement which is natural for tango \nmusic. The orchestra\u2019s interpretaitions are always full of detailed nuances, precise articulation\nand fabulous ensemble work.<\/p><p>\nIn 2009 \u00abTriunfal Orquestra\u00bb played at the festival \u00abVelvet tango\u00bb in Sebastopol. In 2010 in\nSaint-Petersbur Variety Theatre they presented a performance \u00abIn love with tango\u00bb featuring\nbest dancers from Russia and Argentina. The band has an active concert life in Saint-Petersburg\nand plays a new programme every season gathering full audience.<\/p><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><strong>\u00abMusic of unshot movies\u00bb<\/strong>\n<p>In 2012 composer and pianist Mikhail Ivanov (Honoured Artist of Russia, part of the famous\n\u00abIvanov brothers\u00bb alliance, Grand Prix winner of Euro Jazz contest in Bruxelles) gathered\nmusicians for his new project \u2013 a musical performance \u00abMusic of unshot movies\u00bb. <p>The project is\nbased on Mikhail Ivanov\u2019s own compositions. The ensemble concept is based on a new\nprinciple of group musical performance where each of the musicians is responsible for his own\nsphere of images and characters which is determined by the specific nature of his musical\ninstrument. <\/p><p>Those images sometimes make a conflict but always join finally making a whole\nfinished musical piece. Thus the audience witnesses how music is born from connecting the\nprinciples of symphonic development and improvised forms<\/p><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Greek music ensemble \u00abMethaphora\u00bb (since 2003)<\/strong><br \/>\nThis ensemble was created by greek composer Andreas Kameris. The repertoire is based on the\narrangemts of folk and modern greek music. During 15 years of the ensemble\u2019s activities a lot of\ngood musicians took part in it. Anatoly Izotov is an active member of the band since its very\nbeginning. His main instrument is guitar, but in different periods he sometimes played bass\nguitar and bouzuki. He also made more than 40 arrangements of greek and european music.<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\" translation-block\"><\/li>\n<li class=\" translation-block\"><\/li>\n<li class=\" translation-block\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Solo thematic projects of Anatoly Izotov.<\/h3>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><strong>\u00abA new era of guitar polyphony\u00bb<\/strong> <p>\nClose friendship and creative collaboration between Anatoly Izotov and composer Sergey\nKravchuk has led to a project named \u00abA new era of guitar polyphony\u00bb. Perfectly knowing the\nguitar specific idioms Sergey Kravchuk has created a lot of unique music for the instrument.\nKravchuk\u2019s music is very polyphonic and has a very clear form which is combined with a\nmodern music language. At the moment he has written 24 preludes anf fugues, 10 sonatas,\nseveral suites and miniatures. In this creative collaboration Anatoly acts not only as a performer\nbut also as a creative inspirer and critic. <\/p><p>On the 19th of January, 2014 Anatoly presented a \nprogramme which only consisted of Kravchuk\u2019s music. Now he regularly includes his music in\nhis recitals as well.
